One of the most troublesome problems that a guy can have is that of being skinny, especially in the chest. However, no matter how skinny one may be, there always exists the capacity to build muscle, get strength and bulk up without ever having to ingest steroids or drugs. How skinny guys gain muscle depends on how faithfully the guys follow the program. Most muscle gain regimens start with strength exercises and an accompanying diet plan which supplies all the growth hormones that will develop the muscles and build strength at the same time.
The principles of building chest muscle apply to all types of muscle building. What may vary is the time line that a person wishes to follow and the amount of muscle mass desired. To build chest muscles quickly, a skinny guy must first learn to stabilize the body during exercise. The Swiss ball is the best piece of equipment with which to do this. Proper muscle building exercises should focus on working all the chest muscles equally. Proper chest exercises will make the muscles stronger and larger, which will result in good posture and an overall pleasant appearance. There are no chest- building programs which do not use dumbbells. These vital devices are very effective in creating well-defined, strong chest muscles.
While working out, one should always vary the exercises to develop all the muscles equally, otherwise the efforts to build chest muscle will be imbalanced and the results will be unattractive. The body will always adapt to workouts, so it is necessary to increase the intensity of the workout gradually over time. For the first few weeks of exercising it seems like the muscles are developing very rapidly, but soon this will level off. This is normal and to be expected.
What matters most is that the exercising continues during this leveling off period, because this is the point at which the pectoral muscle mass increases significantly. It will not be easily detected, though, due to there being no significant increase in muscle volume. So don’t give up, keep exercising, right up and over these perceived plateaus.
